Do Re Mi, also known as Solfege, has been an essential component of music education for centuries. It stands out as one of the most effective training tools available to today's musicians. However, its integration into keyboard instruments has historically been lacking. The introduction of a new app addresses this gap, seamlessly incorporating Solfege into your music education by providing immediate feedback on the notes played on a keyboard. In essence, it serves as a full-time Solfege instructor, capable of covering all 88 keys with the convenience of being activated or deactivated at the user's discretion through a simple button press.

This tool is particularly beneficial for those looking to develop their ability to play by ear. Instead of merely reading notes from a sheet, the app offers continuous reminders about the pitch being played, facilitating an internalization of musical sounds and encouraging users to replicate melodies they hear mentally. For aspiring musicians interested in acquiring Absolute Pitch (or Perfect Pitch), this app offers an excellent starting point. By utilizing the Fixed Do setting, users can be trained to recognize notes by their absolute names.

The application's intuitive design allows users of all ages—including children as young as four—to engage with it immediately and effectively.

Technical Note: The app recognizes MIDI devices automatically once External MIDI is enabled. Input channels (1-16) are aggregated for efficiency, often referred to as Omni mode. Note that keeping the app in the foreground is necessary for seamless operation, as it releases audio and MIDI devices when running in the background. For extended practice sessions, users may want to disable automatic screen locking and can reduce power consumption by adjusting light settings accessible via a swipe-up menu.
